ABOUT CREDITO​

Credito first emerged in Baltimore, Maryland during the 2010s, when Derrick Credito and Christian Alfonso had connected in the city's vibrant open mic circuit. In this period, Credito released 'Neither Fish Nor Fowl' (2016), playing all of the instruments on this solo acoustic retrospective spanning ten years of recordings captured in studios around the world. Between solo gigs, Derrick Credito eventually became the bassist in My Useless Self (rock) and Let Go Echo (EDM). In the early 2020s, he once again linked up with Alfonso to become co-executive producers of an album inspired by everything from surf to punk to blue-eyed soul. With the addition of longtime friend and collaborator Bailey Dicus on cello, Credito recorded 'Irreverent Soul' (2025) as a trio. Upon the album's release, Credito welcomed guitarist Paris Thalheimer of Black Sevens and drummer Jeremy Konstanzer.
